FENDER SAID
Made in Japan Godzilla Stratocaster is a special model born from the collaboration between the globally popular tokusatsu monster movie series "Godzilla," which celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2024 since the 1954 film release, and Fender's Stratocaster, which also celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2024. The design is inspired throughout by the power and appeal of Godzilla, who reigns as the "King of Monsters."
The alder body is laminated with myrtle wood, stained in deep blue and finished with a gloss coating to express Godzilla's distinctive imposing presence. The neck features a "Modern C" shape with 22-fret medium jumbo frets, and the Godzilla logo is boldly featured around the 12th fret of the fingerboard, creating a strong visual impact.
The sound quality has been thoroughly crafted with attention to detail. An internal distortion circuit is activated by pushing the Tone 2 knob. Additionally, it features the "G.L.O - Gain-Linked Optics" mechanism (patent pending), where the light intensity changes according to the amount of distortion. This causes Godzilla's dorsal fins designed on the pickguard to illuminate, with the light intensity increasing as distortion increases. This represents the moment just before an enraged Godzilla unleashes its atomic breath, creating effects for both visual and auditory senses through sound and light.
Furthermore, it's equipped with "Custom Godzilla Humbucking" pickups developed specifically for this model, achieving an overwhelmingly heavy sound. From the black unified hardware to every detail, this is a thoroughly crafted, one-of-a-kind instrument.
The guitar comes with a special specification neck plate symbolizing this collaboration, a certificate of authenticity, and a dedicated hard case. Symbolizing this collaboration, the guitar includes a special neck plate engraved with a serial number starting from No. 01, along with a certificate of authenticity and a dedicated hard case.
