The Rei Stratocaster R246 was developed based on a Stratocaster that had been modified with various customizations and fitted with the neck of a Lead II, which Rei has cherished for many years.
While faithfully reproducing the grip of the Lead II neck, which Rei describes as the most comfortable in her hands, the design boldly extends it to 24 frets. Additionally, the body size has been slightly reduced, allowing for smooth playability up to the 24th fret without compromising the classic Stratocaster aesthetic.
Other features include a two-point support bridge combined with Graph Tech saddles for enhanced tuning stability, as well as Vintage Noiseless pickups, which are key to the instrument’s sound.
The body color, Rei Blu, is inspired by the cover of Rei’s first album. Furthermore, this model features her signature on the back of the headstock and an exclusive "R246" logo, reflecting her personal attention to detail.
