The guitar was part of an extremely limited edition of instruments produced exclusively for Fender's top 200 United States dealers who decided to order some of them at Fender's Dealer Event in 2013.
Few units have the word “PROTOTYPE” stamped in the wood on the back of the headstock. This means that the guitar is made in 2012 and released in 2013
