COMMENTS:
Replaced by Eric Clapton Stratocaster - Second Pre-Factory Version
FENDER SAYS
When we needed a sponsor for our 1986 GIT scholarships, Eric Clapton came through for us.
Then we came through for Eric.
With a special guitar, crafted by our custom shop to his specifications.
A satin-finish "V" shape neck. Three Fender-Lace Sensors with active and passive electronics. A TBX tone control and a mid-range control that boosts the classic Strat tone into about the hottest humbucking sound around.
The vintage bridge is "stopped" with a removable block so you can change to a tremolo-type bridge.
But not Eric. He wouldn't change a thing.

A rare 1987 Clapton Stratocaster, fist model. Twenty-one frets and active/passive mini smitch. Unlucky Custom Shop logo was removed. Serial number starts with "V", like the American Vintage Strats. Courtesy of Andrew Kastner)
