Stratocaster serial number 8123, neck date 8/55, body date 7/55, pot dates 17th week '55. Figured ash body, very thin, contoured and light. Original two tone sunburst original finish. All plastics in pseudo-bakelite are original and in good condition. Both the original tremolo arm and the spring cavity cover are present.
Kluson "no line" tuners with Pat. Appld. and patent number.
Perfect tweed case, all closures work and everything is intact inside and out. As illustrated in detail in a photo, a second string tree was added on the headstock.
The guitar was restored in 2007 by Fender Custom Shop "master luthier" J.W. Black. The original frets are kept in the case, as the pickups rubber tubing, which had vulcanized and no longer "elastic". Also 4 of the small screws of the bridge saddles were replaced because they no longer worked well, and are still kept in the case. Courtesy of Nino Fazio, realvintage.it.
