Stratocaster from the '50s with all the features of the very first years of production (Courtesy of Nino, realvintage.it).
Figured ash body, two-tone sunburst finish, maple neck and pseudo-bakelite parts. The body is dated March 1956, has a deep contour that makes it very comfortable, and the original finish shows diffuse checking and evident signs of wear on both sides, highlighting the beautiful grain of the ash. The neck, dated May '56, still has the pre-V profile typical of the '55; It has normal signs of wear and has the original frets and nut.
The Spaghetti logo in excellent condition. Near the string tree there is a small hole closed professionally on whose origin it is not possible to give explanations (perhaps a decoration or a button of some kind, since it is not under the string line). Tuners still have Pat written on them. Appld. but compared to the no-lines of the '55 they have the Kluson Deluxe lettering on a single line.
All original hardware, single-ply pickguard, black-bottom pickups with original covers, the first two of which are cracked. Potentiometers are dated February '56. Paper-oil capacitor, CRL three-way switch and Switchcraft jack socket are original.
The fretboard shows signs of wear, but the frets are still in good condition. The sound lives up to expectations, well balanced and warm.
The guitar is completed by the original tremolo arm and spring cover, and a nice tweed hard case.
