Ringrazio Lucio Belli per le foto di questa Stratocaster dell'estate del '66. Ormai il palettone è presente in tutte le Stratocaster, ma l'impatto della CBS sulle chitarre non è ancora così evidente: le meccaniche sono ancora le Kluson, il ponte è il vecchio Syncronyzed Tremolo con inertia bar separata dal base plate e il poliestere non viene ancora utilizzato. In queste foto si può apprezzare la differenza tra il sunburst esposto e ingiallito e quello protetto dal battipenna.
