Fender Japan have gone and made another guitar that you just wouldn't find in their USA or Mexican made lineup. Using a 60's style design with vintage style pickups this guitar has the tone and look of a classic strat but material choices give this guitar a more modern feel that you will love.
The almost unthought about member of the Fender factories, Fender Japan release some amazing guitars that some even say are just as good as their American counterparts. Made in small numbers purely for sale in Japan these guitars are rarely seen outside of their home country except in these small FSR runs.
This is a really great blend of classic looks and sound with a feel modern players will be able to get behind. Made with an Alder body like a lot of the 60's Fenders and a Maple neck with a Rosewood fingerboard for great feel and a versatile sound that never gets too bright and in your face this guitar certainly has a lot of vintage inspiration. The more you dig in though the more modern features you find like the Slim 'C' neck and Gotoh machine heads.
Fitted with a trio of Custom 60's single coil pickups you get a really wide range of tones going from bright and fast attack funk to smoothed out blues and rock. These are relatively low output pickups so they sound best when running through some kind of classic clean or crunch tone.
