On August, 2023, Fender announced the new “Made in Japan Heritage Official Shop Exclusive Collection,” which included the model 5371502303.
The new collection was sold exclusively at the official shop and began on August 15, 2023 at Fender Flagship Tokyo (Harajuku) and Fender Shop in Miki Gakki Americamura (Osaka), as well as at the Fender official online shop.

"Made in Japan Heritage" is a series that strives to provide the ultimate playing experience through vintage musical instruments. Packed with specifications that will appeal to vintage enthusiasts, this series was developed under the supervision of Mark Kendrick, a renowned master builder at the Fender Custom Shop with deep knowledge of vintage musical instruments. All models in the Heritage series are designed based on profiling data for USA products. The body shape and neck shape are carefully adapted to suit the vintage era, preserving the authentic Fender lineage down to the smallest detail, including the cross-wire pickup, pickup settings and tone, and the reproducibility of the body color.
The "Made in Japan Heritage Late 60s Stratocaster" features an alder body with a lacquer finish that deepens in color as it ages. Key features of this product include a 7.25-inch-radius thick "C" maple neck with 21 vintage-style frets, a six-saddle vintage-style Synchronized Tremolo bridge, and pickups selected specifically for the Heritage series. These specifications have been meticulously chosen to achieve classic playability and produce sweet vintage tones.
