COMMENTS
This exclusive Fender model was made in very limited numbers for the chain of Daddy’s Junky Music stores in the US North-East. Custom ordered as a Fender Special Run, these limited edition Strats were shared out across the 12 Daddy’s stores in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Vermont.
MOTO was an invention of Fender’s marketing department, changing the original guitar industry slang term MOTS, (Mother of Toilet Seat), used to describe the Laminex-like perloid finishes that became popular in the 1930s, to MOTO, thereby removing any toilet reference.
Probably 60 units in Midnight Wine and 60 in Blue Agave were built.
