The instrument is original, apart from the selector which has been replaced. The original one, photographed separately, can be recognized by the red jumper, typical of JVs.
There is a route between the neck pickup and the neck pocket.
The "FENDER" logo engraved on the saddles extends beyond the hole, typical of these very early JVs.
Another note, on these first JVs the welds between the pots are missing, the grounding is delegated to the aluminum sheet of the pickguard. The welds between the pots came a few months later with the Squier Stratocasters (Courtesy of Alberto Pretto)
