The guitar is created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Scandal’s official partnership with Fender, which began back in 2017 when the band signed on to be the Big F’s first Japanese female artists.
 
FENDER SAYS
The latest model of SCANDAL's lead guitarist MAMI, who has successfully completed numerous world tours and arena performances, celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2021. The Vintage White bound arch top body and the matching headstock give it an original look. The Mami Custom Humbucking Pickup, which is engraved with a geometric pattern designed by MAMI himself, can handle a surprisingly wide range of genres, from deep distortion to gorgeous clean tones.
The neck has a compound back shape that changes from a modern "C" to a "D" and a compound radius fingerboard. In order not to interfere with hard playing, the master volume and master tone are placed at the position of the normal tone knob, and the tremolo bridge with pivot ensure fine tuning.
The product name "OMOCHI" was named by the artist himself from the Japanese pattern designed on the pickup, the body color, and the sound. In addition to the soft appearance of the first impression, it features a powerful and core tone that is indispensable for SCANDAL's songs, and a clean tone that is soft and supple like rice cake.
