FENDER SAYS, CARIBBEAN BLUE MODEL:
Japanese signature model of Michiya Haruhata (TUBE) will be on sale. The basis is the "Michiya Haruhata Stratocaster III" released by the Custom Shop in 2011.
This machine is packed with all kinds of ideas and has a refreshing Caribbean blue finish with a quilted top, giving it an iconic presence through various activities such as TUBE and solo work.
Haruhata, who had always wanted to develop a model at an easily accessible price range, was convinced by the quality of Japanese fenders that have been supervised by Chris Fleming for the past few years, and it is a compromise while suppressing the price. A project to develop a model with no specs has started.
It has all the ideas packed in custom shops, such as the reverse large head, unique and functional control system, and double locking tremolo system.
The pickups are the same, and are mounted directly on the body, just like the custom shop. In addition, the neck shape is Michiya Haruhata Soft V reproduced by 3D scanning from the actual machine.
The prototype was completed in early May 2018.
After checking the stage rehearsal of TUBE's nationwide live tour that had already started, Haruhata was instantly liked and used as it was.
Even after that, continuing to play with the prototype proved that the model finished in response to Haruhata's expectations.
