FENDER SAYS
Transported in time from heyday of the "surf" era, the '62 Vintage Stratocaster reflects several evolutionary changes that had taken place since the mid-50's. The staggered-magnet pickups and small headstock and tuning machines remained, but Rosewood fingerboards had replaced the maple necks of the 50's. A 3-color Sunburst finish and 3-ply laminated pickguard had replaced the original color scheme.
The '62 faithfully captures these and other details of the early-60's Stratocasters, along with unique sound and superb playing qualities that have always been Stratocaster trademarks. '57 & '62 Vintage Stratocasters come with a kit necessary for updating to today's standards. The case is tweed with leather trim.
